A religious stage play on the hillside of Jordan with locals as actors. This is the ala-Oberrammergou. Local devotees walks to the trek going to the “Balaan Bukid”. This is also known as the Holy Mountain because of the huge cross planted here overlooking Guimaras Strait and Iloilo City.

Pulillan Carabao

San Fernando Giant Lantern Festival

Highlighted by “Bota de Flores”. A procession in sailors costumes with the “La Nuestra Señora de Guia” from and back to the reconstructed shrine in 1918. This fiesta is to honor an old Marian images found in 1571 in the shore of Ermita. The “La Nuestra Señora de Guia” is a patroness of seafarers. This is also known as “Our Lady of Expectations”.

Independence Day
